Flying Private to Napa Valley: Choosing the Right Airport

Please note: AIR NAPA is an air charter broker. AIR NAPA is not a direct air carrier or a direct foreign air carrier and is not in operational control of any aircraft. All air service advertised by AIR NAPA will be provided by a properly licensed direct air carrier or direct foreign air carrier, which will be in operational control of the aircraft at all times.

Napa County Airport (APC) is closest, with a 5,930-foot longest runway, tower hours of 07:00 to 20:00, FBOs Atlantic Aviation and Skyservice, and no U.S. Customs. Sonoma County (STS) offers 6,000 feet and serves Sonoma-side stays. Oakland (OAK) offers 10,520 feet and Customs with advance coordination. San Francisco (SFO) offers 11,870 feet and full international capability, with the most friction and the longest ground drive.

The working rule: turboprops, light jets and most midsize jets start at APC. Super-midsize jets are conditional there. Heavy and ultra-long-range jets at full load, and all international arrivals, start at OAK or SFO. The operator makes the final call for your aircraft and load.

The operating carrier and, where confirmed, the specific aircraft for your flight will be disclosed before contract.
